Cary, N.C. — Snow is in the forecast — sort of — at Cary’s Waverly Place next month.
The shopping area’s ninth annual Snow Day is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 29. The day includes sledding hills, snow for snowball fights, a DJ and other family activities and games.
But don’t plan on just showing up to go sledding. You’ll need to get your tickets in advance.
Designated sledding time slots begin at 11 a.m., Feb. 29. Tickets, which are available online, are $8 and include the use of a special sled for the snow hills. Here are more details, according to a press release:
- Each ticket is valid for a one-hour session within your purchased time slot, which permits access to two sledding hills.
- Check-in for each session will be available 30 minutes before your session Start Time at the check-in tent.
- Attendees will receive a wristband once they turn in their ticket for their official sledding session time slot.
- Adults may accompany their child on the same sled if needed, but tickets must be purchased for both the adult and child.
More information about the event is on the Facebook event page.
